Halloween goodies are the cutest treats of the year! Don’t wait to December to deliver plates of goodies to your neighbors. Why make that holiday even more stressful than it already is? Instead, check out these 15 simple and fun recipes below and start baking in October.
I used to host Halloween parties every year, when my kids were really little. My favorite part was coming up with fun, yet simple, treats to make. These treats would also be adorable to take to a neighbor or friend to let them know you are thinking of them.
Want to make your treats a little spookier? Just add THESE cute little eyeballs to any of the recipes below. These are some of our favorite Halloween Treats.
This post is all about Halloween goodies to deliver to your friends and neighbors.
1. Five Minute Halloween Snack Mix
This five minute Halloween snack mix is the easiest snack idea to throw together in a snack bag, and deliver to your neighbors. This treat is sweet, salty, chocolatey, and crunchy. Just add pretzels, candy corn, m&m’s, peanuts and candy pumpkins for an adorable Halloween snack that is sure to hit the spot. Want a cute saying to go with it? Check out the tags posted below.
2. Peanut Butter Eyeballs
These peanut butter eyeballs are a creepy, yet adorable, crowd pleaser! I’ve made these for many parties. Your neighbors will love these cute little eyeballs. Just make sure they aren’t allergic to peanut butter first. You can even use a colorful M&M in the center of the eyeball instead of the gel. Only five ingredients needed, and they are fun for kids to make as well.
3. Reese’s Pieces Eyeball Cookies
If you like peanut butter cookies, you will love these. Just add cute little eyeballs to make these cookies a little spookier. These are so simple to make; as soon as the cookies come out of the oven, just press the little eyeballs into the top of the cookies. You can add a fun orange ribbon when delivering these monster cookies to your friends and neighbors.
4. Spooky Spider Cookies
Check out these adorable cookies. I also love making these on peanut butter cookies. Are you sensing a theme? I LOVE all things peanut butter. You can also make these on store-bought cookies or store-bought cookie dough as well. It doesn’t get much easier than that.
5. Reese’s Muddy Buddies
Okay, our last recipe with peanut butter. Here is a simple way to transform Muddy Buddies into a Halloween treat. Just add Reese’s pieces, to get those Halloween colors. You could also add candy corn, candy pumpkins, peanuts, and mini Reese’s peanut butter cups.
6. Monster Munch
This popcorn based snack doesn’t technically have peanut butter in it, well, unless you use Reese’s Pieces, but you could also use red and yellow M&M’s. 😊 Pop some popcorn and add melted chocolates and candy chocolates for a crunchy snack.
7. Spider Web Brownies
Don’t let these spider web brownies intimidate you. These spider webs are incredibly easy to make, even for someone like me with very little artistic abilities. You simply pipe a spiral on top of the brownie, and then use a toothpick to drag the frost away from the center. So simple that you can’t mess it up! And the best part, you don’t even have to make the brownies, you can buy them! It doesn’t get much easier than that. Want to add a little spider? Throw on an M&M and pipe eight cute little legs coming out of the M&M.
8. Candy Corn Fudge
This recipe is really fun to make, and they turn out so cute. Even if you aren’t on “Team Candy Corn” give this fudge recipe a try. You can even leave out the candy corn, and it still tastes delicious. I have made this recipe several times and it is simple to make. You layer the three colors of fudge and then let sit in the fridge to harden for a few hours. They are rich tasting, so cut them into small pieces. Your guests will love this Halloween inspired fudge.
9. Witches Brew Brownies/Chocolate Bark
Here is a great recipe for all of your leftover chocolate candy. Just throw it on top of a pan of uncooked brownies, and bake. You could also sprinkle the left over candy over a pan of brownies like THIS one and add pretzels and candy corn. It looks so cute, and is perfect for a Halloween witches brew.
10. Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins
If you like making rice Krispie treats, here is a cute way to transform them into a cute little pumpkin. Just add orange (or red and yellow) food coloring to the Rice Krispie treat to make the pumpkin, roll into a ball, and then add a rolo and m&m on top to make the stem and leaf.
11. Witch Brooms
The simplest recipe in this mix are these cute little witch brooms. Only two ingredients are needed, and you can even have the kids make them for you. “Come, we fly!”
12. Chocolate Covered Pretzels
These chocolate covered pretzels are so incredibly simple to make, and they taste delicious! Just dip a pretzel rod in melted chocolate and then add some sprinkles before the chocolate hardens. You can even add some little eyeballs to make them look spooky. An alternative to pretzels would be wafer cookies. Kids love making these as well, and I’m sure they would love making them and delivering to their friends and neighbors.
13. Halloween Whoopie Pies
These Halloween Whoopie pies are easy and delicious to make. So easy, in fact, that I used to make them with my Home Economics class. You simply bake cookies using five ingredients (one of them being a cake mix), then put two cookies together, with store bought frosting in the middle. Everyone always loves them. Also, check out the recipe to see how to make them into spooky spiders.
14. Halloween Charcuterie Board
While charcuterie boards are great for hosting parties, wouldn’t it be so fun to deliver a miniature charcuterie board to a neighbor? Just grab a paper plate, and throw on a bunch of different Halloween treats and/or candy. They are simple to make, but look adorable. You can add homemade or store-bought cookies, popcorn, gummy pumpkins, candy corn, caramels, chocolates covered pretzels, Halloween Snack Mix (see recipe above–#1), mini Reeses cups, ghost marshmallows.
15. Halloween Smores
For those of you who don’t like to bake, these Halloween Smores are perfect for you! Just throw three ingredients in a bag, and deliver.
Check out this FREE printable that you can print, cut out, and then attach to your bag/plate of goodies with string or ribbon.
Want to “Boo” someone? Print out this free printable below and deliver it with your Halloween goodies. The person who receives it will need to follow the directions on the paper, by making two copies of the sign and delivering it to two neighbors with their Halloween goodies. It is similar to “paying it forward.” And it keeps going and going until someone doesn’t follow through with it. Pretty soon many of your neighbors will have the sign hanging on their door or window, so the neighbors know that those houses have already been “booed.”
Another fun idea is this Halloween Service Ghost, which doesn’t have to involve Halloween goodies at all. You just deliver this paper below, with a service of some sort, and then the person has 24 hours to serve someone else and deliver the paper to them. It’s a great way to get your kids involved on what types of simple acts of service you could do for another person or family. Check out THIS printable for Halloween-themed service ideas.
