1. Rake leaves for your neighbors and place them in pumpkin garbage bags on their front lawn.
This is a fun group or family project to go and rake your neighbors leaves. Brings lots of garbage bags and rakes. You can do it anonymously and leave the leaves in pumpkin garbage bags on their front lawn with a note that says the service pumpkins stopped by today.
2. Make candy or caramel apples and deliver them to someone in your community.
Make some caramel or candied apples with friends and take them to people in your community who need to have their spirits lifted up today.
3. Visit a retirement home or a home of an older couple and decorate pumpkins together.
Buy some pumpkins at the local farmers market and take them to a retirement home or older couple you know and decorate them with markers or paint. Supplies needed are the pumpkins, Tole paints, paint brushes, water cups, paper towel, markers and newspaper.
4. Take some apple cider and/or doughnuts to a friend who is feeling sad.
Buy or make some pumpkin doughnuts and get some cider to share with someone who is feeling sad. This can be a co-worker, neighbor, friend or someone who you know has been having a tough time lately.
5. Clean a cemetery or a headstone of someone you know.
Help organize a group of people to go and clean a cemetery in your community. Get permission from the cemetery caretakers and ask them what they need cleaned up and the supplies you will need.

Go to a local farm and ask a friend you want to get to know better to join you. Enjoy time getting to know your new friend better and maybe choose someone together you can take a pumpkin to.
10. Read a Halloween book and sing with small kids for a simple Halloween service.
Find an age appropriate book to read to kids and sing some Halloween songs with them. Ex: The Itsy-Bitsy Spider and Halloween themed books that aren’t scary.
11. Outline your body in chalk on a driveway. Write don’t forget some “Body” loves you! Add caution tape around the scene.
