2. Sweatshirt
This sweatshirt is adorable and another fun way for your dancer to sport their passion for dance.
3. Ballet Cold Sock
These cold socks would be perfect for the older dancers, especially while training their feet for pointe shoes. These socks will chill your entire feet to help relieve sore and aching feet. Check out the great reviews!
Gift Ideas for Dancers to Practice at Home:
5. Yoga blocks
Yoga blocks are great for dancers to improve their balance, and work on pointing their toes.
8. Mat
My daughters love using the mat for practicing cartwheels, walkovers, or backbends. It folds easily, to store in a closet.
9. Ballet Barre
This ballet barre would be excellent for your dancers to practice their ballet technique.
10. Balance Beam
We have this same balance beam, and my daughters, and all their friends, love playing on it. It is a great way to practice aligning their cartwheels, and other gymnastics tricks.
11. Dance Floor
My daughters love performing their dance routines at home. If your floors are carpeted, this dance floor would be perfect for them to practice their turns, or perform for you.
12. Balance Board
This balance wobble board would be great for dance conditioning, and balance. Check out the great reviews!
Gift Ideas for Dance Class:
13. Leo’s (Leotards)
Every dancer will need leotards for class. Check with your studio to see if they require a specific color or brand. Our studio just requires black, and these leos below have been some of our favorites.
14. Dance Shorts
When my daughters have ballet, followed by a jazz class, they will just throw on these shorts over their leo, for a quick change in between classes.
15. Dance Shirts
Here is a cheap pack of three tank tops that have worked great for my daughters to wear to class.
16. Dance Clothes from Old Navy
We get most of our dance clothes from Old Navy. My girls love their PowerSoft Longline Sports Bras for Girls, and their leggings. They are comfortable and good quality.
17. Converter Tights
Your dancer will love these tights because they can be used with ballet shoes, and then pulled up when you need to go barefoot. These make it easy when going from one class to the next.
18. Dance Bag
My daughter has this dance bag in black and it is adorable! It is great quality and has a spot specifically for her shoes, and water bottle. She takes it to every class.
19. Ballet Wrap Top
This top would be perfect to throw on over a leo to help keep your dancer warm. Once they’ve warmed up, they can easily slip it off.
20. Dance Water Bottle
A water bottle is essential for your dancer, so why not get them a cute one like this one?
21. Bloch Warm-Up Booties
Bloch is a high quality dance clothing company, so you know these booties are going to be awesome! These booties will help keep your dancers feet warm. They can even wear dance shoes inside of them, to protect their dance shoes on their way to dance class, or in between dances at a competition.
In My Makeup Bag:
23. Bloch Bobby Pins
This kit is great for on the go. It comes with everything you need to do a bun, even the hair net. This would go great in your dancer’s makeup bag. Make sure you get them to match your dancer’s hair color.
24. More Bobby Pins
When selecting bobby pins, you want to make sure you get good quality bobby pins that will actually hold your dancer’s hair. These are the bobby pins that we use, and they work great.
25. Makeup Eraser
Just get this cloth wet, and it will easily take off all of your dancer’s makeup after a performance.
26. Lipstick
Most studio’s will require a specific brand/color of lipstick, if your dancer is on a competition team, but if not, this is our favorite lipstick. This lipstick by Maybelline WILL NOT rub off after it dries, making it perfect for recitals and competitions.
27. Hairspray
Hairspray is essential for any performance to help keep the hair styled, and in place.
28. Infinity Spray Bottle
This spray bottle is essential for getting your dancer’s hair damp before styling it for a performance.
29. Hair Brush
A hair brush is a necessity for any makeup bag. This brush will help smooth the knots and bumps out of your dancer’s hair for any hairstyle.
31. Hair Net
Some studios will require a hair net in your dancer’s bun. Make sure and get a hair net that matches the color of your dancer’s hair. One of my daughter’s has extremely thick hair, and her hair would not lie down flat in a beautiful bun. These hair nets were lifesavers for making her buns look nice, and they are SO simple to put in.
33. Hair Gel Mascara
This stuff actually works! It is great for dance class, when you just want to put a little gel in their hair to look nice. It is also great for competitions to keep all of those flyaways under control.
34. Travel Mirror
A mirror is great for competitions so that your dancer can reapply lipstick, blush, or fix any eyelash issues.
35. Waterproof Mascara
This mascara has amazing reviews! Stick with waterproof mascara, as your dancer will most likely be sweating with all of that dancing.
36. Fake Eyelashes
Fake eyelashes really help bring out a dancer’s eyes while on stage. This brand is cheap, but looks nice, and it comes with three sets, in case you lose a set.
37. Setting Spray
This setting spray will help your dancer’s makeup last longer. Just spray it on after you’ve finished applying all of their makeup. Simple, but effective.
38. Foundation
You will definitely want to put foundation on your dancer, to even out their skin tones. This foundation is my favorite because after it dries, it DOES NOT budge. Also it won’t make your dancer’s face look oily or shiny up on stage.
39. Blush
Here is a simple blush for your dancer. Feel free to pack it on, so it can easily be seen from the audience, and reapply as needed.
40. Eye Primer
This eye primer is cheap and has amazing reviews. Put this on a bare eyelid, before applying eyeshadow. This will help the eyeshadow last longer, and POP with it’s true colors.
41. Eyebrow Pencil
If your dancer has light eyebrows, then they will DEFINITELY need to add some color to darken them up. Otherwise, their eyebrows won’t show up on stage, under the lights.
43. Makeup Brushes
This blush brush and the eyeshadow blending brush will make it easier to apply and blend your dancer’s makeup.
44. Eyeshadow
If your studio doesn’t provide the eyeshadow, here is a simple and cheap palette that looks great on stage.
45. Hair Elastics
Stock up on hair elastics (in your dancer’s hair color) for practices, recitals, and competitions. These ones work great!
46. Face Primer
Apply face primer to your dancer’s bare face, to allow the makeup to stick better, and last longer. This brand has excellent reviews and is cheap.
47. Beauty Blender
The Beauty Blender is my favorite way to apply foundation. It is a little pricier, so feel free to try the dupe (below). The dupe works great as well, but just doesn’t seem to last quite as long.
For Dance Competitions/Recitals:
49. Pop-up Tent
These pop-up tents are extremely light weight, and come in handy for changing costumes. We had a competition at a theme park, and the girls had to change outside, in front of everyone, so these tents came in handy for some privacy.
50. Dance Bag with Garment Rack
This garment rack would be so convenient for performances. One of my daughters had seven different costumes for one recital, and we were trying to find places to hang them all up. I am definitely going to invest in this bag for this next dance season. A cheaper option would be to grab the foldable garment rack.
51. Blanket
One of our favorite gift ideas for dancers is this personalized blanket. You can even get it in their dance company’s colors. Your dancer will love snuggling up in this blanket before and after performances.
Gift Ideas for a Dancer’s Bedroom:
52. Jewelry Holder
This beautiful jewelry holder would be perfect for your dancer. Combine it with the jewelry mentioned at the beginning of this article.
54. Diamond Painting Kit
These diamond painting kits are fun for your artistic dancers. They do take some time, and patience, so might be best for your older dancers.
55. Music Box
We have this music box, and love it. It also comes with a necklace and bracelet. Your dancer will love this!
57. Ballerina Doll
This plush doll would be perfect for your tiny dancers. It even comes with it’s own gift bag.
58. Shelf for Awards
With all of the competitions your dancer will go to, and all of the awards they will bring home, this shelf will quickly become a necessity in your dancer’s room.
59. I’m a Ballerina Book
This is another great gift for your tiny ballerina. This ballerina invites us into her ballet class, and later performs onstage in her first recital. This book also goes through the five positions in ballet.
60. Dancer Notebook
This is a cute notebook for your dancer to take to school, keep in her bedroom as a journal, or write down notes from dance class.
61. Name Sign
This personalized name sign would look cute hanging in any dancer’s bedroom.
62. Dance Road Sign
This dance road sign would also be cute in a dancer’s bedroom, or in a studio, if you are looking for a gift for your dance teacher.
63. Dancer Clock
This clock would be adorable in any dancer’s bedroom.
