This post is all about easy fall desserts to deliver to your friends and neighbors.

  1. Zucchini Bread

If you’ve got zucchini growing out of your ears, or neighbors leaving it on your doorstep, this is a great recipe to make to use it all up.  Tip: Grate up the entire zucchini and freeze it in freezer Ziploc bags of 1 1/2 cups.  Then when you are ready to make some zucchini bread, just grab out one of your freezer bags.  It makes the process so much easier to have your zucchini ready to go.  This is actually a very simple recipe, so if you’ve never made bread before, don’t be scared, there is no kneading or rising needed in this quick bread recipe.  Your neighbors will feel so loved when you show up at their doorstep with this delicious treat.

  1. Pumpkin Cookies (Only 3 Ingredients!)

Check out THE easiest pumpkin cookie recipe, ever. This recipe only uses three ingredients, and is still incredibly moist and delicious. You can drop them into muffin tins to make muffins, or on a cookie sheet to make cookies. These are a favorite at our house each fall.  My husband always begs for them.  Grab a spice mix, some chocolate chips, and pumpkin puree, and mix it all together.  Does it get much easier than that?  Try it out, but BEWARE, they will be gobbled up quickly! 🙂

  1. Banana Bread

Do you have overripe bananas lying around? Make banana bread out of them, or throw in a Ziploc bag and freeze to make banana bread later. (Tip: It’s much easier to peel the banana before you freeze them.) This recipe is very quick and simple, and you most likely have all of the ingredients on hand.  Don’t be afraid to add a little cinnamon or nutmeg, to give them an even more rich flavor, and to make your house smell like fall.  If you don’t like nuts, don’t worry, add chocolate chips instead. No one will complain. Wink. Wink. Yum.

  1. Candy Corn Snack Mix

Snack mixes are a great food item to give to neighbors; especially those neighbors who may be trying to eat a little more healthy. You can add just a small amount of candy items, or leave them out completely.  Just mix any assortment of snack foods together and put them in a small ziploc, treat bag, or snack bag. Ideas include: pretzels, peanuts, m&m’s, candy corn, pumpkins, and mini reeses. I’ve heard this combination is magical!  You could also add chex cereal, sunflower seeds, granola, Cheez-Its, cranberries, raisins, or chocolate covered raisins.  Be cautious about adding anything soft, like marshmallows, because they will soften all of the crunchy foods too, and nobody wants that!  If you are going to add marshmallows, add them right before serving, and don’t store them with marshmallows in them.  Let us know what your favorite snack mix includes.

  1. Caramel Apples

I’ve always thought that caramel apples were so difficult and messy to eat, and so I never wanted to make them.  BUT, check out this creative idea from Mom Loves Baking, where you slice up the apples first, and then dip in chocolate, caramel, nuts, sprinkles, or whatever you want.  They are so much easier to eat, and still oh, so delicious. Slice them up first!  Let us know how they turn out!

Tips and Tricks

Check out these tips and tricks for how to package these sweet treats for delivery.

For bread delivery, you can get twist tie bread bags at your local grocery store that are perfect for delivering zucchini, banana, or apple cinnamon bread. You can also get miniature bread pans to cook your bread in, and deliver smaller loaves of bread. Syran wrap and tinfoil also work great for wrapping the bread in.  Grab little treat bags for delivering a single muffin, or a yummy fall snack mix.

For all your other goodies, a medium sized paper-plate fits perfectly in a gallon Ziploc bag.  It doesn’t get much more simple than that.  Display your yummy treats on the paper plate, and carefully slide the paper plate into the Ziploc bag, and zip it shut.  It’s simple, functional, and still looks nice.

These tulip baking liners below would be so adorable for your fall muffins, and this bundt pan would be perfect for making little bundt cakes to deliver.
